Tana Turner (she/her)
Expert Partner

Tana Turner, founder of Turner Consulting Group, is a researcher, consultant, and advocate for social justice and systems change. She is a former provincial public servant and has worked in the field of equity, diversity and inclusion since 1987. She is a leader in the field, having supported many organizations in the public and non-profit sectors, to implement the programs and practical steps needed to advance their equity journey. She is currently an Adjunct Professor at York University.
Dr. Robert Diaz (he/him)
Expert Partner

Dr. Robert Diaz is an Associate Professor in the Women and Gender Studies Institute (WGSI) at U of T. His research pays particular attention to diasporic communities in the transpacific, Southeast Asia, and the Philippines. Collectively, his work broadly identifies the shared barriers that many sexual, gender, and racial minorities face globally. Dr. Diaz’s scholarship has been published in top-ranked peer reviewed journals and foundational edited volumes. Dr. Diaz has secured competitive research grants within and beyond Canada, from Harvard University, the Andrew Mellon Foundation, SSHRC, and the Connaught Foundation.
Dr. Dawn Martin-Hill
Expert Partner

Dr. Dawn Martin-Hill, PhD, is an Associate Professor and one of the Founders of the Indigenous Studies program at McMaster University. Dr. Martin-Hill is Mohawk and resides at Six Nations of the Grand River with her family and is the Founder of the Indigenous Elders and Youth Council, working to conserve and protect Indigenous knowledge and language. Her recent work has focused on access to clean water, traditional ecological knowledge through Ohneganos, an Indigenous water research program.
